Art Basel 2019 Event & Exhibit Guide

Art Basel 2019 is upon us the week when some of the world’s best galleries and artists from around the world come to Miami and take over the city. We have seen this event week explode from a few art fairs to a city-wide phenomenon. This event week has played a role in Miami’s artistic boom in the past few years as it continues to host some of the best art exhibitions of the year along with some of the most exclusive events and parties.

Better yet, there are a ton of great events that are completely free, but if you are feeling fancy, there are a few paid exhibitions that are definitelly worth the money. Below is a list of some of the events we are looking forward to duging Art Basel week 2019.

Succulent: Recipes for Architectural Consumption

This project is an exploration of the process through which we digest the built environment. Contemporary architecture is experiencing a pedagogical shift not limited to representation, speculation, and professionalism. The means through which we consume this information continues to change, presenting itself as a malleable organism to be observed.

Design Miami

Design Miami is a forum for design with a yearly show in Miami. We have attended the show in the past few years and it never disapoints. One of the featured exhibits this year os by artist Steve Bicakci and the show “Inspiration Room” Bicakci’s one-of-a-kind creations will be nestled beside photographs, illustrations, rare Ottoman toys, antique textiles and furniture; exposing how Bicakci’s cultural history has shaped him as an artist.

Design Miami is one of our favorites and worth checking out.
